about

Deliberately rough and ready, jammed through a broken Gemini DJ mixer to an equally dubious cassette recorder, with the bare minimum of sound generating and effects machinery, Ellis de Havilland brings the distorted, sounds of acid soaked dirt. The only way to be any cheaper is to steal a laptop, but they don’t have the right manual controls for wrenching around with wine stained fingers in the delirious abyss of a central nervous system being gradually anaesthetised. These aren’t squeaky clean and thought out with meticulous planning and polishing, but raw, quickly programmed, live jams capturing a descent into self inflicted fears and misery; so very apt that they found a natural home with Bunker.
